Hannah Duff is a conductor, educator, pianist, and soprano based in Rochester, New York. Hannah is currently pursuing her Master’s Degree in choral conducting at the Eastman School of Music, studying with Dr. William Weinert. Hannah is the music director and pianist at Summerville Presbyterian Church, and this season is an assistant conductor for Eastman Opera Theater. She teaches undergraduate music theory at Eastman and is an active collaborative pianist with choirs, instrumentalists, and vocalists.
Hannah was an assistant conductor of Eastman and University of Rochester treble chorus for the 2022-2023 season and served as the president of Eastman’s American Choral Directors’ Association (ACDA) chapter from 2021-2023. She performs regularly with professional vocal ensembles such as Voices, Pegasus Early Music, and Mysterium. She is currently the administrative manager for Voices. Hannah also specializes in innovative practices in mindfulness, meditation, and movement for musicians. As a certified yoga instructor who teaches for Yoga For All Musicians, she has offered workshops and published research on using movement and meditation as rehearsal, practice, and teaching tools. |
